Smart 10-bit HD-SDI Field Recorder and HD Monitor.

Samurai Blade is a smart, 10-bit 4:2:2 HD Field Recorder that records pristine, visually lossless video in Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD directly to removable Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD) media, while also providing exceptional monitoring and playback capabilities through it's SuperAtom IPS (in-plane switching) 5" 1280x720 display.

The Samurai Blade is the world's most advanced smart production recorder, monitor and playback device. Every aspect of its physical and operational design has been carefully crafted to deliver simple, intuitive operation and mission critical reliability. Constructed from aircraft grade aluminum it is both lightweight and robust making it suitable for use not only in studios but also in the most challenging field environments.

With one millions pixels at 325ppi the SuperAtom IPS 5" 1280x720 16:9 display on the Samurai Blade is a stunning monitor, supporting new monitoring tools as such waveform with luma, RGB parade and vectorscope (including zoom). Monitor assist tools such as adjustable focus peaking, zebra, false colour, blue only and grid guides add to the Samurai Blade's excellent HD monitoring capabilities.

  • Professional, adjustable monitoring including Waveform (Luma, RGB Parade), Vectorscope, Focus Assist, Zebra, False Colour, Blue Only and Grid Guides.
  • HD-SDI input and output (HDMI connectivity supported through the use of Connect H2S and S2H converters).
  • Records to low-cost, removable 2.5" Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD) media fitted to an Atomos Master Caddy.
  • HDMI input and/or output supported through the addition of an Atomos Connect H2S and/or Connect S2H converter.
  • Device playback and playout with full transport controls including frame-by-frame nudging.
  • Edit logging* of 'favourite' and 'reject' markers during record and playback.
  • Features Continuous Power technology for uninterrupted operation.
